I’m Back, But Where On Earth Have I Been

1197148609945122159freedo_Glossy_Globe.svg.thumbSome of you may have been wondering where on earth I have disappeared to?

Well David & I have some exciting news! We are expecting a baby at the end of March 2010, that’s what you get when you live on an isolated Island! Unfortunately for me I have spend a large amount of time, rushing to the bathroom, leaning out car doors and looking at the base of trees throwing up – not pretty and very exhausting. I have been battling to get my regular daily tasks complete and the IM has gone somewhat by the wayside. The great news is I am starting to improve and only throw up about once a day at the moment, hopefully this ends soon and I can actually ‘glow’…lol

As a consequence, we have quit our Island job as we decided it was far to isolated and simply not suitable, so we are now also in the process of moving house and back to the mainland. With the knowledge we have gained we have managed to rank Canvas Prints Online depending on the day, from page 1 to 3 of google which is super exciting. We think that using Youtube and Traffic Geyser has had the biggest impact on the ranking. Another niche that we developed with a friend has also recently had a mention in Australian Home Beautiful Magazine, which is also super exciting and grown the business overnight –  Trambanners.com.au

So I feel I need to almost go back to scratch and re-watch some of Alex Jeffreys traffic modules and really re-motivate and consolidate much of the learning. So expect to see more blog posts and posts in the private member forums.

I am looking forward to re-connecting with you all!

Cheers

Mel

    That’s awesome, Melanie…Congratulations!!!

Kind of ironic you returning and mentioning that you’re going to start over on the modules…on the same day that the next webinar by Alex is on….starting over. :)

Again, congratulations and I hope your move goes smoothly.

    Cheers,
    Rod

Great news, Mel! Hope you have found some interesting “roots” what with all the looking at the bases of trees! Glad to hear that things are settling down now.

It looks like we are all in the same boat as far as Alex goes. lots of us are going back and starting over. It’s probably a good thing.

BTW in a few months you will probably find yourself running to the bathroom again for other reasons. Take care, have a healthy and happy baby!

    Melanie,

    Congrats to you both…

Not long ago we were expecting our first and tonight as we said prayers with the kids I realize my oldest wears bigger shoes than my and the youngest keeps me on my toes just keeping up with what he knows.

Time goes by quick. Great to know you’re coming around.

Going to be a great ride.

    Take care,

    Rob

P.S. My boys are now 10yrs and 14yrs

    Melanie,

Welcome back and congratulations on your soon-to-come baby!

You are to be admired for your efforts to keep your projects going, no doubt. However, you have now embarked yourselves in a much greater task, one that most other people underestimate…

May everything go smoother after these first weeks!
    Jose

    Congratulations Melz!

Hey, no wonder you quit that island – there’s nothing on it but a hut, a lazyboy and a heap of white sand.

Hi Melanie, great news I’m going back to the beginning again but not because I’m expecting a new baby.
More because I’ve hit that infamous wall.
Still blogging but the techie side is a real struggle.
Hope everything goes well for you both

  11. Hey Melanie:

Congrats on the good news! You know, that’s a pretty obvious niche to be blogging about right there… :)

    Cheers,

    Hey Melanie,

    What a news!! Congratulations!!

I know you like the islands and surely you can be back there soon :) So are you back to inland now with the horses??

I have the Home Beautiful subscription for free(from Energex) and I saw that tram banner page…..You can make more designs such as putting the tram images too……the Melbourne trams are “iconic” and people like that old green&white scheme.

I’m not married yet and will never get pregnant(LOL) but I can feel what it must be like for you right now. Please take care!!

    Get well soon,

    Huddson

    Dear Melanie-

I found your blog through the MWA forum, and also wish to congratulate you. I see you moving off island, and back to the mainland. So many people want to move to islands.

I am trying to get this IM thing down, so I can get to island living. :)

Video marketing will be new territory for me, but I am glad to hear it works.
